113 About KOKYU, CondeHouse original fabric KAJIHARA Kanako This is an original fabric developed by CondeHouse and a Hokkaido-born designer, Kanako Kajiwara. It is made from Japanese raw materials in Japan for sustainability. We aim at a unique fabric that connects you to the nature of Hokkaido. Part of the fabric is made of the wood chips of Hokkaido oak trees produced in our furniture production. High-quality furniture leather born by the collaboration of Sakuta, Kawazen Leather, and Asahikawa furniture industry Asahikawa furniture industry has developed a special domestic furniture leather �HOKKAIDO LEATHER� in cooperation with Sakuta (a livestock company) and Kawazen Leather (a leather company) as part of efforts to further improve traceability of raw materials. The fine-grained, high-quality hides produced in a tough climatic environment of Hokkaido are quickly and carefully processed at Sakuta in Asahikawa. The hides are then transported to the Kawazen factory in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, where they are processed into high-quality leather using a world-class technology while maintaining their freshness and quality. With �HOKKAIDO LEATHER� made of Hokkaido's unique natural environment and Japan's technological strength, we will further promote manufacturing of safety and reliability.
