FOUR Desk

A space for work becomes required at home, an environment where food, clothing, and shelter were the mainstay. Accordingly, some issues to solve came up such as "functional requirements for size and storage capacity," "discomfort in coexisting with a relaxing space," and "noise generated by the presence of work in the home.” The goal was to create a desk that would be functional for organizing documents and gadgets, yet harmonize with the other furniture in the living room and dining room, and look beautiful with the FOUR chair. The design feature is the fusion of the floating top panel, the straight lines of the back panel, and the organic curves of the legs. The FOUR desk, with its warm, natural materials, is a piece of furniture you will want to spend a lot of time with.

Jin Kuramoto

Jin Kuramoto, born in 1976, established "JINKURAMOTO STUDIO" in Tokyo in 2008 after working as a product designer for a major electronics manufacturer for about 10 years. He is good at expressig the concept or story of a product in its design clearly, working in the wide variety of projects such as electronics, eye wears, and cars both domestically and internationally. His design style is always experimental. Until ideas are shaped in his mind, he always keeps on touching material phisicaly and making a lot of trials and errors in his studio that is full of inspiration.
