The wood grid looks more like woven threads and more beautiful by setting wood pieces with straight grain up. By the combination of many different wood pieces, the top board surface shows various faces according to viewing angles. When light enters, the grid makes beautiful shadows on the floor. A top board and legs are joined by three way miter joints, where craftsmanship is well shown.
